Ken Ageloff

Director of Investor Relations

Mr. Ageloff joined Contrarian in 2000 and is the Director of Investor Relations. Prior to joining Contrarian, Mr. Ageloff was CFO for Touchstone Capital from 1998‐2000. Prior experience in the financial services industry includes two years with Goldman Sachs & Co. as a Senior Accountant, two years with Paloma Partners as an Accounting Manager, and four years with Morgens, Waterfall, Vintiadis and Company as Assistant Controller. Mr. Ageloff received a B.S. from the University of Virginia.

Tim Percarpio, CFA

Head of Marketing

Mr. Percarpio joined Contrarian in 2009 and is the Head of Marketing. Prior to joining Contrarian, Mr. Percarpio was Director of Marketing for JD Capital, a multi-strategy and volatility trading hedge fund, from 2007‐2009. From 1996‐2007, he was a Principal for Vanguard Institutional Investor Services serving in a number of institutional marketing and business leadership capacities. Prior positions include roles with Bryn Mawr Trust, Radnor Capital and Merrill Lynch. Mr. Percarpio received a B.A. in Economics from Ursinus College. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Mark Murphy, CAIA

Managing Director of Business Development

Mr. Murphy joined Contrarian in 2007 and is Managing Director of Business Development. From 2000-2007, Mr. Murphy was a Vice President in Global Securities Services and Institutional Equity Sales at Goldman Sachs & Co., Inc. At Goldman, he was hired as one of the original senior members of a middle-markets institutional sales and trading effort, and in 2005, he joined the Capital Introductions Group. From 1995‐2000, he was a Senior Vice President in Institutional Equity Sales at Tucker Anthony & Co., Inc. From 1993‐1995, he was a Junior Trader on the Mortgage Backed Securities Desk at CS First Boston. From 1988‐1993, he was a Senior Analyst in the Government Practice at Andersen Consulting. Mr. Murphy received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Connecticut. He is also a CAIA charterholder.

Andrew Frieman

Managing Director of Business Development

Mr. Frieman joined Contrarian in 2013 to establish and develop relationships with global institutional investors, family offices and wealth management firms. Prior to Contrarian, Mr. Frieman spent eight years as a Managing Director responsible for Global Strategic Development for Lyster Watson & Company, a hedge fund advisory and emerging manager marketing company. From 2002-2005, he was the Director of Marketing for CDK & Company, a hedge fund advisory firm based in New York where he worked closely with Contrarian in developing an offshore client base. From 1999-2002, he was an Analyst at The Blackstone Group, working in the advisory department focusing primarily on mergers & acquisitions.  Additionally, he assisted in reviewing alternative investments for the account of the principal partners of the firm.  From 1997-1998, he was an Associate in the Global Equities Group at Scudder Kemper Investments, working on research and analysis of real estate and chemical companies. Mr. Frieman received a B.S. in Finance from Syracuse University.

Adam Altman

Vice President of Business Development

Mr. Altman joined Contrarian in 2011. Prior to joining Contrarian, Mr. Altman was an Associate in Institutional Equity Sales at Cowen and Company, LLC from 2006-2009. From 2004-2006, he was an Associate in the Closed-End Fund Group at The Altman Group, Inc. Mr. Altman received an MBA from Tel Aviv University and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland.
