Erik Ward

Mr. Ward joined Contrarian in 2026 and is a Managing Director with a focus on investments for Contrarian Capital Fund I. Prior to joining Contrarian, he was a Managing Director at H Partners, where he was responsible for investments in business turnarounds and transformations from 2017 to 2026. From 2013 to 2017, he was an Associate at Oaktree Capital where he was responsible for analyzing stressed and distressed credit investments. From 2011 to 2013, he was an Analyst in Lazard’s Restructuring Group, where he advised various stakeholders on in and out-of-court restructurings. Mr. Ward graduated with Highest Distinction from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with a BBA.
