Andrew Frieman

Mr. Frieman joined Contrarian in 2013 to establish and develop relationships with global institutional investors, family offices and wealth management firms. Prior to Contrarian, Mr. Frieman spent eight years as a Managing Director responsible for Global Strategic Development for Lyster Watson & Company, a hedge fund advisory and emerging manager marketing company. From 2002 to 2005, he was the Director of Marketing for CDK & Company, a hedge fund advisory firm based in New York, where he worked closely with Contrarian in developing an offshore client base. From 1999 to 2002, he was an Analyst at The Blackstone Group, working in the advisory department and focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, he assisted in reviewing alternative investments for the account of the principal partners of the firm. From 1997 to 1998, he was an Associate in the Global Equities Group at Scudder Kemper Investments, working on the research and analysis of real estate and chemical companies. Mr. Frieman received a BS in Finance from Syracuse University.
